Talent and purist from Carnuntum
Close to the Danube and 35 km East of Vienna lays the upcomming appellation of Carnuntum. Johannis Trapl is the star producer of Göttlesbrunn, the most prestigious part of the region. Zweigelt, St Laurent and Blaufränkisch are the grape varieties in red. The grapes are being crushed by foot. Johannes uses a mix of amphora, inox and wooden vats for the vinifications. The Biodynamic certification started in 2017.
